I was listening to a random selection of songs I downloaded recently (a list which includes music by Dire Straits and Simple Minds) and i came across this song. So beautifully mellow. It's also on the Cruel Intentions soundtrack.
Craig Armstrong feat. Elizabeth Fraser - This Love
In this month's American Harpar's Bazaar is a really cool fashion spread with The Simpson's and Linda Evangelista. I love all the pics, I especially like Homer in the one with Uncle Karl;
Busy busy weekend. Lot's of social outings featuring cramped clubbing on Friday, engagement party on Saturday, and finally the ThisDay concert held on Sunday with Rihanna, John Legend, Diddy, Kelly Rowland (who fainted), and D'Banj (what an ashewo!). Of course I was rocking VIP tickets. It was a lovely event, and I am very impressed with This Day's new events centre. Of course seeing that I left the concert at midnight, and I am now past my prime (haven't you heard, twenties is the new fifties), I've been half asleep at work all day.
Anyway, here's the selection for today's jukebox. It reminds me of all my dysfunctional relationships (and I have lots of those). I like the message of the song, especially the lyrics in the chorus, but i love the the video a lot more. So here's all our f'ed up relationships;
Travis - Re-Offender
Plans For The Week
Pamper myself
Find an outfit for my dinner on Friday
Find love
Or at least a shag
Make lots and lots of money.
Now I have to get back to work, I am trying got hold down a full time job and still remain fabulous. Not an easy feat i tell you.
I am soo bloody pissed off. My tailor's assistant has just delivered what i am meant to be wearing to a wedding tomorrow. Instead of being white and plain, its now white and way too much silver embroidery. I can't wear this disgusting piece of clothing out. I hate it when I don't get what I expected (want). I hate NIGERIAN TAILORS. They are all a**holes!
Now I have to see what damage control strategies I can apply.
...and nothing to do. I need ideas on projects to keep me busy during my time off. I am thinking it might be time to get reacquainted with my creative side and spend some time with my tailor (s) and in the market buying materials. Only one problem, I'm broke. This is what happens when you take soo much time off work. Oh well.
A return to my natural home on the internet; style.com, shows plenty of fashion (shows) to catch up with. I'm particular looking forward to my darling Thomas Maier at BottegaVeneta. Actually I know what I'll do to keep busy, develop my (new found) hobby, interior design (ing). And to start off with, I have a list of ArcitecturalDigest's Top 100 Architects to discover/explore/research. And being the democratic individual that I am, I've added the list below for you to come along on the magical journey into interior designing;
There's also all those fashion designers who've gone into doing interiors, Armani, Bottega, Prada. I tend to have a natural bias against over diversification, but this could be interesting.
Have a nice weekend ya'all
P.S. Can't decide if I should go out tonight or not...
